So this past week has been very exciting. On Monday, we found out that we won a ticket to the BlogHer conference in Orlando! If you don’t know what BlogHer is, it’s the largest conference and community for women content creators, social media influencers, and entrepreneurs in the world. BlogHer inspires women to find their voices and turn their passions into content. This year the conference was held in Orlando, so we were thrilled it was so close to us. We decided that Alex should be the one to go because, well, she was the one with a babysitter #momlife.
So let me start by saying that I was super nervous to attend this event. There was well over 1,000 women going and I’m a pretty introverted person. But, at the same time I was thrilled to go and listen to the seminars and meet all the incredible women attending.
Friday finally rolled around and I started by waking up at 5am to get all dolled up. There was going to be fashion bloggers there so my typical mom bun and VS Sport leggings just wasn’t going to cut it. I decided to wear my PinkBlush ivory scalloped trim top. I adore the scalloped trim on the sleeves and the bottom of this top. It’s simple but adds just enough little flair to it. I paired the top with my navy blue Tommy Hilfiger pants. And accessorized with my gorgeous Gypset beaded bracelet and JCrew necklace (that I scored for $9). Total boss babe outfit that made me feel confident to meet all these women.

When I arrived at the conference, they had me register and pick up my swag bag filled with tons of goodies from all the sponsors. Who doesn’t love a good swag bag?!
The seminars were very informative and well done. You were able to choose between five talks for each seminar and then everyone attended the keynote speeches. Obviously the biggest speaker attending was Serena Williams. Some women even waited in line for an hour to a get a front row spot to her talk. Sorry but I needed to eat lunch so I ended up at one of the back tables. They had huge monitors though so I was still able to see and hear her just fine. My favorite speaker was Gina Pell, she was hilariously blunt and very entertaining. If you don’t know who she is, go google her and subscribe to her newsletter, The What. You won’t regret it, I promise.
The BlogHer conference overall was a win. It is definitely geared more towards experienced bloggers but I was still able to take away some good points. If you attend, you’ll have the opportunity to network and meet some great companies. Along with that, you’ll also have the privilege of meeting hundreds of other great bloggers and vloggers.
Have you ever attended BlogHer? I’d love to hear about your experience!
Thank you Pink Blush for sponsoring this post. As always, opinions are 100% my own
